How to use the Pick Locker for swift collection of your parcel

Consumers will soon be able to enjoy more convenience when receiving their online purchases with the launch of a nationwide parcel locker network. Launched by Minister for Communications and Information Mr S Iswaran in April, the network is one of the world’s first open-access national locker networks.

Operated by Pick Network Pte Ltd, the facility will progressively be made available for all logistics service providers (LSPs), e-commerce marketplaces and their customers. This will complement existing doorstep deliveries and expand the options provided to shoppers for receiving and returning purchases. The initiative will also improve fulfilment reliability and delivery productivity of e-commerce marketplaces and LSPs.

Online shoppers will be able to collect their purchases anytime from more than 200 lockers located at community clubs (CCs), Housing and Development Board (HDB) estates and transportation hubs. The first batch of more than 200 Pick Lockers located island-wide have been deployed, and 1,000 parcel lockers are expected to be installed by year-end.

A typical Pick Locker station will comprise 40 to 50 lockers in six sizes. For example, the Extra Small locker can house one ladies’ shoebox, while Extra Large can hold a 21-inch (approximately 53cm) medium-sized luggage. Security measures, including CCTV cameras, will be put in place to deter vandalism or theft. In addition, sensors are embedded in every locker compartment to verify the deposit or retrieval of the purchased items.

Most residents will be able to access a Pick Locker within a five-minute walk from their homes. Consumers will also be able to return parcels at selected Pick Lockers located at CCs and HDB blocks. Visit https://www.picknetwork.com/pick-lockers to find your nearest Pick Locker.

To use the service, residents should opt for a Pick Locker as their delivery option upon checkout. They will then receive either an SMS or email – depending on their preference – notifying them of the availability of their parcel at their chosen Pick Locker location. At the station, users will need to key in the PIN number they would have received via the SMS/email, followed by tapping on the “Collect Parcel” option. Once the parcel collection has been completed, residents should ensure that the door is properly shut and locked.
