Rejuvenating retail in Bukit Batok

As part of the Jurong-Clementi Town Council’s efforts to continuously improve the estate’s facilities and amenities for its residents, an extensive revitalisation of shops (ROS) scheme is underway in Bukit Batok, spanning Blocks 150 to 159, 164 and 166 in Bukit Batok Street 11 and Bukit Batok West Avenue 8.

The ROS programme includes the construction of a high sheltered linkway at Block 156 market, and tiling works for the concourse flooring area. All the shopfront areas will also be provided with new awnings, fire safety roller blinds, protruding shop front signages and new floor finishes. Pavilions at Blocks 151, 153 and 159 will also be provided with new roof panels.

Under this ROS programme, shop owners only need to bear 20% of the upgrading cost, capped at $5000. HDB and Town Council will bear the remaining upgrading cost, subject to capping.
