Chairman’s Message

Dear Residents

Covid-19 has impacted our mental well-being as a community. It is important that we care better for ourselves and for others. In this issue, and in conjunction with October 10 World Mental Health Day, we share some information on the mental well-being resources and support network within our Jurong-Clementi community.

Speaking of support, the Ministry of Finance has set aside $135 million in service and conservancy charge (S&CC) rebates for 950,000 Singaporean HDB households this year. Eligible households will receive between 1.5 and 3.5 months in rebates, depending on their flat types. The next tranche of rebates will be credited directly into the households’ S&CC accounts in October. If you have any challenge in keeping up with S&CC payments, please feel free to contact the Town Council. We will assist.

I am also happy to share that the Town Council has enhanced safety features for electrical fittings in common areas across the Town. This includes fitting public lampposts – 3,527 in total – with Residual Current Device and Earthing System. Your safety will always be our foremost priority.

Let us continue to build a strong and caring community, together. Stay safe, stay well.
