Jurong Spring Responder Plus Programme: Empowering our Conservancy Workers with Lifesaving Skills

On 19 October 2024, our conservancy workers participated in the Responder Plus Programme (RPP) held at the Jurong Spring Community Club. The 4-hour event, conducted by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), equipped them with essential lifesaving skills, including enhanced first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and firefighting techniques. These skills empower them to respond confidently in emergencies.

The programme, designed for the general public, provided hands-on training in various critical areas. The conservancy workers, who play an integral role in the neighbourhood’s daily operations, gained practical knowledge in managing medical emergencies, fire incidents, and evacuation procedures.

Thanks to these enhanced training initiatives, our conservancy workers are now better prepared to handle emergencies. The Town Council underscores the importance of preparedness and safety, fostering a more secure environment for all residents, especially in times of need.
