Bukit Batok East Community Club organised the Children’s Day celebration on 5 October, 2019. The programme was attended by Madam Rahayu Mahzam, Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC, community volunteers and families with young children.
There was a strong turnout for the event as residents brought families out for an evening of fun and food. Children enjoyed performances by a ventriloquist, an escape hunt, movie screening, card games, and popular food items such as churros, hotdogs and more. The children also went home with goodie bags.
The family-centric event allowed the residents to not only bond with their children but with their neighbours as well. Madam Rahayu interacted with the young attendees who clearly enjoyed the evening that was planned especially for them.
