Chairman’s Message

Dear Residents

Welcome to the third edition of the Jurong-Clementi Town Council e-newsletter. One of the most well-known characteristics of Singapore is its clean surroundings. Often, we don’t fully realise how much effort it takes to keep our public areas tidy. In this issue, we put the spotlight on Jurong resident, Madam Jumaah binte Khatib Loran, who is in-charge of cleaning in Blocks 405 and 406 Jurong West. She shares what her job entails and how residents can do their part in keeping the estate clean.

Taking pride in her job, Madam Jumaah talks not just about cleanliness and hygiene, but also about her own challenges and how she perseveres despite all the hardships. It highlights the important role each of us can play to upkeep our environment.

In this edition, we also recap some of the celebratory moments from the various National Day events as well as the PassionArts festival that took place in Bukit Batok and Jurong.

We encourage you to provide feedback about our town, on good initiatives as well as areas of improvement, especially through our Facebook page and OneService mobile phone app. These channels are open 24/7.
