Shops in Jurong West get a facelift including new digital boards

In a recent round of estate improvement works, the common areas along the shop units in blocks 492 to 498 in Jurong West, Street 41 were refurbished. The renovation works include a new awning, fire safety roller blinds, shop signboards and floor tiling works. The estate improvement works are part of the Revitalisation of Shops Scheme (ROS). Mr Ang Wei Neng, Advisor to Jurong GRC GROs and Member of Parliament, Jurong GRC, unveiled the completed project on 20th July.

One of the highlights of the upgrading works is the installation of new digital boards in block 498, which allows residents to get access to useful neighbourhood information easily such as directory services.

Similarly, in Jurong Central, too, an interactive digital directory signboard has been installed to help residents navigate the various facilities in the estate, such as food outlets, parks and schools. A water feature has also been installed next to the digital signboard to enhance the public space.
