Chairman’s Message

by Our Neighbourhood
Chairman’s Message

Dear Residents

The response to the #MyTownMyHome photo contest has been overwhelming.  We have shortlisted 11 entries for residents in the west to vote for their favourite photo. You can make your choice on our Facebook and/or Instagram page.  The top three photos with the most “likes” will be featured in the upcoming Jurong-Clementi 2020 calendar.  The calendar will be distributed to every household in Jurong-Clementi town.

On a separate note, we have observed a rising trend of PMD-related accidents. Thus, Jurong-Clementi Town Council has decided to enforce stricter rules for the use of these mobility devices at the void decks. To ensure the safety of our residents, we strongly encourage PMD riders to reduce their speed, dismount and push the PMD when they reach the void deck or common areas.

Meanwhile, children riding scooters or learning to cycle under the supervision of accompanying adults are allowed in the common areas. The updated rules on PMD are displayed on the e-notice board in the lifts and hard copies have been distributed to all households in our town.

Town Council has also stepped up enforcement measures against errant PMD users.

Let us endeavour to be considerate towards each other’s safety and be good neighbours by embracing good civic behaviour and forging stronger bonds with our fellow residents. We welcome feedback on matters of improvement through our OneService mobile phone app as well as our Facebook page.
