Dear Resident,
Even as we continue to address the challenges as a result of the Covid-19 virus, it is heartening to see our residents banding together in a true test of resilience. At the Jurong-Clementi Town Council, we have also implemented a number of preventive measures to raise our level of preparedness.
Some of these practices include thrice-a-day cleaning in areas that observe a high footfall, such as lift cars, lift landing areas – including the interior walls, lift buttons and railings – playground equipment, fitness equipment and common seating facilities. Our conservancy contractors are using hospital-grade disinfectants for daily cleaning purposes.
Additionally, as per the Government’s initiative to provide four masks to each household, our community volunteers helped with the mask distribution exercise, while a team of volunteers has been keeping a check on the vulnerable and elderly living alone who might need our support at this crucial time.
We would also like to urge residents to remain calm and be vigilant, as this is a collective fight against a highly contagious disease. We will also continue to step up our cleanliness and hygiene maintenance. We believe that together we can overcome this situation.
On a more positive note, we would like to bring your attention to a slew of upgrading and refurbishment projects, including covered linkways, multi-generation fitness corners, playgrounds for children, jogging and cycling tracks, as well as recreational and community spaces for residents. Other significant projects include the installation of CCTV cameras in the upgraded lifts across Bukit Batok, Bukit Batok East, Clementi, Jurong Central, Jurong Spring, Taman Jurong and Yuhua.
With these initiatives and your support, we aim to continue to make the Jurong-Clementi neighbourhood one of the most comfortable and holistic precincts for residents who call it home.
